Section 1 - Community Standards

New Awakening players are expected to abide and understand all server regulations, rules, and conditions and utilize a functioning microphone. Throughout all of New Awakening's platforms, the use of racist, homophobic, sexist, prejudiced or disrespectful content is prohibited.

Any actions deemed harmful to role-play situations or the community may fall under this rule. This is for gray area's and is up to the Executive Team Member and/or Chief dealing with the situation to say if this rule has been broken or not. New Awakening's management team reserves the right to restrict server access.

Section 2 - TeamSpeak:
1. Do not spam other users.
2. Voice changers and playing sounds are permitted in the Task Force Radio channel if they are beneficial to role-play and are not excessive.
3. Your TeamSpeak name must match your full role-play name, role-play names may not be unreasonable (i.e. reference celebrities, play on words, etc.).
4. Recording is permitted in any channel for report purposes, but may not be released publicly.
5. You must remain in the TaskForceRadio channel when on our server at all times.

Section 3 - Game Server:
1. All forms of glitching, hacking, and exploiting are prohibited and can result in permanent suspension.
2 . Meta-gaming - an “out of character” action where a player’s character makes use of out of game knowledge - is prohibited. EG: Teamspeak messages, discord.
3. Individuals wearing a mask - which covers the entirety of your facial features - cannot be identified by name or sound unless they give you their name or a valid form of identification is taken from their pocket by law enforcement.
4. Asset Gaming - To perform an action such as restraining a user you must have a relevant physical asset (e.g. handcuffs or zip-ties). Exception - when working around a bug.
5. You are not allowed to resuscitate a player for the sole purpose of executing or robbing him/her.
6. Combat-logging - Commit to your roleplay scenarios. Logging out or abusing game mechanics to avoid roleplay situations - is prohibited.
ㅤㅤa. Users must remain on the server for fifteen (15) minutes after completing a roleplay situation.
7. Random death-matching - the murder of individuals for no reason - is prohibited.
8. Vehicular death-matching is permitted in the instance of a role-play situation.
9. New Life Rule - You cannot return to the location where you died within ten (10) minutes of respawning at the clinic. If you were involved in a situation and it is still ongoing, even if it has changed location, you may not involve yourself.
10. We aim to foster an advanced role-play environment where each action is meticulously executed. Does an action make logical sense? Can your character DO this?
ㅤㅤa. Do not crawl through locked doors or interact with assets to create an abnormal situation.
ㅤㅤb. You bring your character to life. You must remain in-character at all times when on the server.
ㅤㅤc. You must value the importance of your life (EG If I have you at gunpoint, do as I say).
ㅤㅤd. You may not dump your vehicle into the water for any unrealistic reason, including an attempt to escape from an LEO.
11. Before any violent action may occur, clear initiation must happen. Initiation must have a valid roleplay reason that stands by cause and effect, “hands up or die” is not sufficient. Context must exist before escalating a situation (into violence),your actions must reflect the situation you are currently in. Your actions must be logical and make sense within the realms of that roleplay situation. This also works vice versa for LEOS. Twitter is not a valid form of initiation.

Examples:
- If you change outfit you imply you want to get away from that situation. Do NOT come back and try to restart that roleplay scenario
- If you are pulled over, and have no provable warrants (If cops start to perform a felony stop, or you have solid proof from an LEO) you should not flee.
- In relation to realistic actions, initiation must be justified. You cannot kill a LEO attempting to cite you simply for speeding.
- You may not involve yourself in a situation that you were not initially involved in unless your gang is involved.
12. You can’t engage in crime within 20 minutes of any server restart, this means 20 minutes before and after the restart.
13. When you are incapacitated (beanbagged or downed from an injury) you must act realistically. You cannot run from an injury that would not allow you to do so. You may flee as the victim if you receive any sort of advantage (SD is overwhelmed, dies, or leaves the scene entirely).

Section 4 - Civilian Regulations:
1. You are not permitted to utilize the Fire Rescue aircraft and the Coast Guard Cutter without permission from a member of faction command.
2. You may not steal an LRR from Coast Guard or any faction personnel that possesses one.
3. Interacting with a vehicle within ten (10) seconds of the driver exiting or it being unlocked without the operator's explicit permission is prohibited.
4. If the server restarts whilst you are detained or restrained, you have to go back to the police department after the restart unless told otherwise by your arresting officer.
5. Users are not allowed to disrupt Fire & Rescue while they are conducting official duties. However, if they are given a verbal warning that their actions will have consequences, you may take action against them. (Official duties include helping patients, arriving on scene to perform CPR etc.). FIFR cannot be corrupt whilst on duty and must also be neutral in dealing with all job duties. This entire rule is waived in the event that FIFR initiates the situation/causes issues.
6. If you are revived by Fire & Rescue, you are to remain in their custody and follow their instructions.
7. You are allowed to make Law Enforcement Officers drop their radio but are not allowed to utilize it. However, players may request that the LEO turns their radio’s speaker function on in order to listen to conversations. (FEDs are exempt from this request/demand due to sensitive discussions)
8. Any person evading in the water from an LEO for 10 minutes must return back to shore if they are within five (5) ft, near proximity, or arms length, of the LEO.
9. LEO hostage situations, LEO kidnappings, and LEO robbing may only be performed when there are at least three (3) members of that faction. (I.E: If you want to kidnap a CG member, there must be 3 CG awake).
10. Negotiations must be attempted before any lethal action can be taken.
11. Fortressing–locking yourself or others in a confined space–is not permitted. You must have a minimum of one entrance and exit to the space.
12. All clinics are considered to be green zones (the entire property, from the road back).

Section 5 - Faction Regulations:
1. Prior to altering existing or implementing new legislation, the Department of Justice must provide at least two (2) days' notice to all citizens of Fisher's Island.
2. Faction members are permitted to be corrupt under the following stipulations.
ㅤㅤa. The top two positions of each faction may not be corrupt.
ㅤㅤb. Off-duty FIFR members may be corrupt.
ㅤㅤc. The Coast Guard Judge Advocate General must not be corrupt. (JAG Lead)
ㅤㅤd. DTU & CGIS personnel must not be corrupt.
3. FIFR cannot sell their uniforms. They are permitted to sell their medical supplies if they are corrupt.
4. The Sheriff's Department or any LEO faction must value the life or lives of the hostage(s) during a hostage situation. This rule is null and void if a hostage dies, is in immediate danger, or if the hostage-takers try to escape with the hostage.
5. Faction members are prohibited from utilizing/wearing night-vision equipment unless they are flying helicopters, or operating on the cutter.
6. LEO members may not sell class one, two, or three weapons with the exception of tazers or pepper spray. LEO members may not also stockpile firearms, stockpiling is referred to as 5+ weapons.

Section 6 - Staff Regulations:
Staff are also accountable to the above rules and regulations. Alongside following all the community rules and regulations they enforce, staff must remain respectful and professional at all times, towards all members, players, and guests. Staff are not permitted to undertake support or situation tickets in which they have direct involvement. They must instead seek a representative of the Chiefs Commission or New Awakening's management team.

Section 7 - Gang Regulations:
1. A gang is defined as 2 or more people with the intent of committing gang activities.
2. Any form of toxicity or poor RP is strictly prohibited and will lead to gang strikes.
3. A gang may only be reinforced by another gang if they are in a situation involving more than one LEO faction.

  • A gang may not request reinforcements from another gang if the second faction is USCG and USCG's involvement is STRICTLY limited to deploying a swimmer when a gang member is in the water.
  • Gangs may only wear their designated uniforms/colors or variants of them, they may not wear the colors of another gang they are not affiliated with.

Section 8 - Dual Character Regulations:
1. Your two characters may not be in the same faction, gang, or share the same last name and family.
2. Characters cannot have any knowledge of one another or pass info between the two.
3. You may only be employed by one (1) LEO faction between both characters. I.E., one of your characters may be in SD but the other character may only be a part of FIFR, DOJ, or a civilian.
4. You may not be command in an LEO faction as one character and command in another faction on a separate character.
5. Character names must be reasonable, they may not include celebrities or other famous people (up to staff discretion).
6. A forum account must be created as a sub account for the second character. This account must have the same role play name as the second character. You must be on the proper forum account when posting or acting as that character. Abuse of the forums to gain any advantage for your second character will be considered meta-gaming.
